She has a PhD in Sociology from the University of California at Berkeley, a JD from the University of San Francisco Law School and MAs in Anthropology, Popular Culture and Lifestyles, Mass Communications and Organizational/Consumer/Audience Behavior and Recreation and Tourism at Cal State, East Bay. She is getting an additional MA there in Communications.
